The large log drum, or obrom as they are called in Nigeria, is a hand carved log drum from a solid log using only a chisel, hammer, and machete.
The African log drum has a beautiful resonance and sound great at drum circles because their tone cuts through the sound of many other log drums. A Nigerian log drum has 2 or 4 distinct tones, they are used to communicate within a village using a method similar to our Morse Code.Each large log drum comes with two mallets and woven stand.
